Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation

Through this program, HDCRH provides assistance to eligible homeowners to correct Housing Quality Standards (HQS) violations/repairs to single-family homes that may pose a threat to the health and safety of the occupant. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, plumbing, and structural hazards.

The maximum amount of funds available is $20,000 or $20 per square foot. Applicants are required to sign a ten-year deferred, forgivable loan or second mortgage.

All recipients of assistance through this program are those households living at or below 80% of the area median income, or in some cases at or below 50% of the area median income. All recipients of assistance must sign a 20-year Restrictive Covenants Form.
